Greens Aerification May 27th and 28th

It is that time or year again, where we need aerate our greens in order to maintain their playability.  The goal in aeration is to help remove thatch and provide nutrients and airflow to the turf roots.

By removing the portions of thatch, the roots then have the opportunity to grow deep and thrive, oxygen is more readily available to the root source, and adding soil amendments is then much easier.  This process allows us to maintain the high level of playability the greens at Angeles National Golf Club are known for.

We will be adding photos and more information of the greens as they go through the healing process.

Join us for the 2013 Audi Quattro Cup at Angeles National Golf Club

Defined by performance, the Audi Quattro Cup provides teams with the opportunity to realize their amateur golf dreams. The success of any golf tournament relies heavily upon its participants. We invite you to join us for the 2013 Santa Monica Audi Quattro Cup, the world's largest amateur golf tournament!

The tournament will take place on Friday, May 24th, 2013. The registration fee is $75 to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails and a number of prizes, including a hole-in-one contest where you will have the chance to win $65,000 cash towards the Audi of your choice!  To register, please log onto www.santamonicaaudi.com and click on Quattro Cup, Registration.

To be eligible to compete, all golfers must have an established USGA handicap. This is a two person team event. The tournament format is Select Drive Alternate Shot.

By competing against some of the best local golfers, you will have the opportunity to advance to the U.S. Finals, held this year at Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island near historical Charleston, South Carolina, August 22nd - 25th. The winners of the U.S. Final will represent USA at the World Final held this year at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, October 7th -11th.
