Practice Range Divot Patterns

What is the proper way to take divots at the practice range? The answer depends on the type of grass used and the maintenance practices employed. At Angeles National Golf Club, we request that divots be taken from front to back, where your next shot is played from the beginning of your previous divot.

Proper divot patterns increase the usable hitting area, promote quicker turf healing time, and allow for an efficient use of space.

The greens are coming along nicely and are rolling smoother and more quickly every day.

The above photos help to illustrate how quickly the greens recover from week to week and will be back rolling quick and true in no time.

We look forward to seeing you out on the golf course.
